Ukrainian Veterinary Alliance, in cooperation with Polissia National University, successfully completed the VetExpert 360 continuing education program for veterinary doctors, which was held online from March 30 to April 30, 2026. More than 100 veterinary professionals from different regions of Ukraine participated in the program.

The program was developed to strengthen the professional competencies of veterinary specialists and combined both regulatory and practical components. Participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest developments in Ukrainian veterinary legislation harmonized with European Union law, as well as modern approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, and control of animal diseases.

Within the framework of the program, participants were able to explore key topics related to veterinary legislation and regulatory requirements, including new rules governing veterinary medicinal products, licensing of veterinary practice, the use of prescription medicines, and reporting documentation requirements.

Separate thematic sessions focused on current challenges in the poultry and dairy sectors. Participants had the opportunity to learn about modern approaches to the prevention and control of Gumboro disease, infectious bronchitis, Newcastle disease, immunoprophylaxis, vaccination strategies, food safety, as well as prevention and treatment methods for cattle diseases.

The program brought together leading industry experts, representatives of international companies, and members of the scientific community, including specialists from Zoetis, Boehringer Ingelheim, HIPRA, Phibro Animal Health, Ceva Santé Animale, Elanco and Eurovet.

Continuous practical training of veterinary professionals is critically important for the development of a modern veterinary system in Ukraine. Ongoing legislative updates, implementation of European approaches to animal health monitoring, disease prevention, and the use of veterinary medicinal products require continuous professional development of veterinary specialists. Educational initiatives such as VetExpert 360 therefore play an important role in improving the quality of veterinary services, strengthening biosecurity, and enhancing the competitiveness of Ukraine’s agricultural sector.

The Ukrainian Veterinary Alliance expresses its sincere gratitude to all speakers, partners, and participants for their active involvement and support in developing continuous veterinary education in Ukraine.

The VetExpert 360 program became another important step toward strengthening the professional veterinary community and promoting the implementation of European approaches and standards in veterinary medicine in Ukraine.
